How To Use The Text Search In The Unit Selector Dropdown

In this article, we'll show you how to use the text search option in the unit selector dropdown.

This feature makes it easy to find and select specific units quickly, streamlining your workflow and improving navigation within the system modules.

This function becomes increasingly more useful when more and more units are added to the system as it may take some time to manual find the one unit you are looking for.

It is also very useful when multiple vessels have similar names.

1. Head to any module in which you have the option to select an individual vessel to view data for. In this example i am going to use the Maintenance -> Due List.
   
   
   
   
2. You can then click into the highlighted field above and begin to type and vessel name in which you currently have within your system. This will search all units within the system for the text you have typed whether this is at the start of the unit name, in the middle somewhere or even at the end.
   
   
   
   
3. Select the vessel you wish to view the data for.
