Welcome to this training session of how to configure permissions setting on Compass.
Once you are on the homepage, click on the admin button on the left side, then click on the provider's configuration.
For example, you have your Manning office already on Compass.
Just click on the Edit User icon right next to the Manning office you want to add new user to.
Click on the new user icon.
Then, add all the necessary information, such as username, password, etc.
To generate password, click the Generate Password icon.
This will be the password the user will use for the first login.
Then select the manning office or company.
Select which department, for example crewing.
Click on the user must change password, so once the user log in, he must be able to change his password.
A global access option can be set for a certain period of time.
Then input your e-mail address, click Copy Password, and submit.
You can also create a new role by clicking on the new role icon.
For example, you have a new role in your company.
You can then input the necessary code and sequence on this panel.
Then, if you have any remarks, you also encode below.
Once done, then click on Save button.
Once the role has been created, the role can now be added to the new staff or user.
The user can have multiple roles as well.
Click on the desired role or multiple roles for the user and click Add Selected.
For the company dashboard, select the necessary companies the new user can access.
Then click Source Code, which allow the new user to select the available source code for a specific manning office.
Then you have the owner's pool settings.
Here you can also select the owner's pools that the new user can have access.
Then if you go to the permission tab, these settings will show you which permission you can grant to the new user.
So, example if the person is from crewing and has a role of crewing coordinator the designated admin can grant him to add, edit, delete a crew profile.
For this example, the admin can grant the user of Compass, which is the crew coordinator, to add, edit, and delete the personal details of the crew, such as the address.
Here below are the other regions or functional permissions you can grant or assign as an admin for a particular user role.
As an admin, you can also use the search bar here to look for the permissions for easy lookup for example, if you type peril, all the peril permissions come out.
Lastly, the LOA or limit of authority for a certain budget cost such as ticketing, crew claims, other earnings, and other cost.
To adjust the limits, click on the plus icon.
To set the limits, the admin must click the drop-down icon then select for ticketing.
Set the upper and lower limit value for RE ticketing approval for this user.
For this example,, 1000 US dollars will be upper limit, and 100 US dollars will be the lower limit setting.
Then click save.
To ensure consistent permissions across similar roles, we highly recommend that admins assign permissions based on role type during setup.
To do that, click on this edit icon.
This way, for example, all crewing coordinators will have the same access rights, eliminating the need to configure permissions individually for each user.
You only need to set the permissions once per role.
And that is how you configure the permissions on Compass Crewing Software.
