TM Master Inactivity Time Outs

We frequently receive reports from customers experiencing session timeouts in TM Master after a period of inactivity (e.g., ‘x’ minutes).

Please note that the session timeout behavior for TM Master clients can be influenced by settings in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). Specifically, you may want to review the Server Properties, where several connection-related settings can be adjusted:

  • Remote query timeout
  • Maximum number of concurrent connections

     
    We recommend checking your current configuration and considering an increase to the timeout value or the number of allowed connections, if appropriate.

    If adjusting these settings does not resolve the issue, it’s possible that the root cause lies within your network infrastructure or client PC configuration. In such cases, we suggest reviewing firewall rules, VPN stability, or power-saving settings on the client device that might be affecting the connection.
