How To Use The Portal Buffer Cleaning Function

This function is very similar to the existing Log Cleaning functionality and allows you to keep in control of your database Portal Buffer entries.

The setting first needs to be activated in the system settings under the Portal Buffer cleaning tab.

When this setting is enabled the TM Master service will run the procedure automatically based on the Last Backup and the interval set in the field "run backup every".

The create a backup button will run the procedure directly from the client.

When this function runs it will first find which integrations are in the portal buffer and the oldest date created based of specifics pulled from the data itself.

It will start with the oldest data and move in intervals of whatever you have set in the "max days of data to handle" field.

This data will then be saved to the below folder which is automatically created and the data will be deleted from the Portal Buffer.

SystemFilePath/PortalBufferBackup

When the setting is enabled you should be able to see the messages in the Service Log that reference the Portal Buffer cleaning such as the below.

Starting PortalBuffer Cleaning.
Old PortalBuffer saved as files to: SystemFilePath/PortalBufferBackup
PortalBuffer Cleaning Finished.

PortalBuffer Cleaning: 1 Week interval. Next due in X Day(s)
