Duplicate Critical Component Codes

If the report "Critical Components" lists the same component multiple times, this is most likely due to duplicate codes.

If identical codes are found, keep one of them (and make sure it is validated and show in list), the other variants can be deleted.

Easy way to spot duplicate code is to group the code table on the "code" column, a count of codes will show per code.

Note:

  • The definition of an Identical code is where both the Code and the name (meaning) are the same.
  • If you find duplicate "codes" but with different name meaning, do not delete them, but let TM Support know.

Check the following code tables for duplicate codes.

  • Critical Category
  • Critical Level

If it is none of the ones above, then you can look in the following:

  • Department
  • Component Type
  • Maintenances Method
  • Owner Type
