Timezone

In Compas, this feature can be found through: Compas Onboard | W&R | Timezone.

The timezone page allows the user to inform the system that a clock change will take place on a specific date. This will materially alter the record sheets for the given month to allow for accurate keeping of hours where there has been a clock change or in the case the vessel has crossed the international date line a day’s records are repeated or omitted depending on the direction of travel.

Following standard practices onboard ships the options are to retard or advance by 0.5 hours, 1 hour per day or 1 day at a time.

Use the buttons on the respective dates and timezone changes you wish to make to the records.

Click ‘Save’ to effect the changes, this will then update the record sheet for the month as shown.
