V39.5.0 Compas Release Notes

Disclaimer: All the developments and fixes detailed in the release notes are implemented across all customer environments. However, depending on your company's settings and permissions, certain features may not be accessible or relevant.

🚀 Release Highlights

• Malaysia Tax Regime - New SOCSO Contribution Added 
  Support has been added for the mandatory SKBBK (Non-Employment Injury Scheme) contribution under Malaysia's LINDUNG 24 Jam from June 2026, offering 24-hour social security for eligible employees, covering non-work accidents outside work hours.
• PFA Pension Proration for Mid-Cycle Crew Promotion Added
  All crew members promoted onboard between payroll cycles will have automatic pension updates, removing the need for manual corrections after mid-cycle promotions.
• Planned Events - Travel Days Issue Resolved 
  When a flight was approved or issued via the Compas crew.travel feature, travel days were not added to planned events for off-signers, and the travel movement was not automatically included in Crew Future Movements.
• Crew Lists - Full Rank Description Now Available
  The IMO FAL 5 Crew List now shows the full Rank Description instead of the Rank Code in the Rank column, making it easier for port authorities to identify crew ranks at a glance. This applies to both on-screen views and exported Excel and PDF files.
• Work and Rest Hours (WRH) Updates
  • Minimum Rest Calculation Corrected 
    The 'any 24-hour period' minimum rest calculation now only considers the past 24 hours, excluding future time.
  • Timezone Editing Unblocked 
    We have resolved an issue where orphan closed days (caused by crew movement reassignment between vessels) prevented timezone editing. A vessel-code mismatch filter now excludes these orphan rows from the UI.
  • Bulk Add Confirmation 
    A confirmation prompt now appears when saving bulk-add data with the same selections as the previous save, preventing accidental duplicate submissions.
  • UX/UI Enhancements  
    We have added new analytical dashboards (Office & Onboard), a persistent context status bar, and an in-app notification system with toast alerts and bell icon history. Also, print functions have been enhanced with NC highlighting and column visibility in daily prints
