We’re pleased to announce the latest content update to the Ocean Learning Platform.

This release introduces a brand new Ammonia advanced eLearning module, created to expand your expertise and strengthen your skills in this essential subject.

Additionally, we’ve made seven major updates to existing titles, all aimed at enhancing and improving your overall learning experience.

Ammonia advanced

Risk assessment and management

This module has been significantly revised, and an instructional design update has been applied throughout.

Incident investigation, cause and effect

To ensure that users engage with the required learning content, we have implemented restrictions that prevent them from skipping the instructional videos. All videos must be viewed in full before users can proceed to the next section or activity.

Additionally, support for alternative languages has been temporarily disabled. At the moment, this title is available only in the primary language until further updates are released.

This module has been updated to remove references to the Emergency Escape Breathing Device (EEBD) where relevant.

Gas measurements, a safe atmosphere

Product ID: 0425 | v10

This module has been updated to align with current enclosed‑space entry safety standards. Key revisions include setting the normal oxygen level at 20.9%, replacing the previous oxygen‑related video with one focused on oxygen deficiency, and adding a new video covering atmospheric testing.

Terminology has also been refined, with LEL references now expressed as 1% of the lower flammable limit (LFL). Guidance on the hazards of hydrogen and carbon dioxide has been refreshed. All changes are consistent with the latest requirements outlined in Resolution MSC.581(110) for entering enclosed spaces on ships.
