The Retention Report provides a monthly overview of crew activity by rank, displaying how long crew members included in the report have remained active within the pool.
Breadcrumbs:
Compas Office > Crew > Headcount analysis > Attrition reports > Retention report
Users can filter the report using the available dropdown menus. To export the results, click the Excel export button located to the right of the report title.
The data is presented in a table format with monthly figures shown under each column heading.
Average Calculation Methodology:
The average is calculated by summing the total sea time (in months) for all crew members within the company, and then dividing this total by the number of crew members.
Example:
To illustrate this calculation with a simplified example:
Clicking on a number 3 in the Total Headcount column opens a new window.
- Within this window, sum the sea time in months for all listed crew members. For example, if the total sea time is 78 months, divide this by the number of crew (in this case, 3).
The result is an average of 26 months, as displayed in the first layer of the report.
Note: All figures are rounded for clarity.
Conditions
- All crew should have a record under "Sea time in months"
- In case there are crew with no sea record, these are excluded from calculation
- This means that total number of months will be divided only to the number of crew with sea records:
246 months : 12 crew (not 14 crew) = 20.50 ----> AVG = 20
Note: All figures are rounded for clarity.
