Deleting Historical Replication Data

Within the Old Replication Data section, you can configure how long replication history is retained and remove older replication files.

Keep Replication History in Database

  • Keep replication history in DB: Specifies the number of days that replication history records are retained in the database.
  • Records older than the configured value will be eligible for removal during system housekeeping processes.

Delete Old Replication Files

  1. In Delete Replication Files Older Than, enter the age threshold in months.
  2. Click Delete old files now.
  3. TM will remove replication files older than the specified age.

Additional Options

Clean XML_IN/OUT folders

  • When enabled, old XML replication files stored in the XML_IN and XML_OUT folders will also be cleaned up.

Stop logging incoming ReplicationHistory

  • Prevents new incoming replication history records from being logged.
  • This option should only be enabled if advised by Support, as it may impact troubleshooting and replication auditing.

Example

To remove replication files older than 3 months:

  1. Navigate to System > Settings > Replication.
  2. In Delete Replication Files Older Than, enter 3.
  3. (Optional) Enable Clean XML_IN/OUT folders.
  4. Click Delete old files now.

Notes

  • It is recommended to ensure a recent backup is available before performing large-scale clean-up operations.
  • Deleting old replication files does not affect current replication functionality.
  • Retaining some replication history can assist with troubleshooting and auditing replication activity.
