🚀Overview

We are pleased to announce Service Pack 47, focusing on stability and core functionality improvements. This update fixes critical bugs and adds features to streamline user management, enhance security, and boost eLearning and assessment performance.

Release Highlights and Benefits

  • Seamless User Management with Keycloak: With Keycloak integration, managing user data will be more efficient. We're implementing unique email validation and syncing user data, which simplifies administration and reduces errors.
  • Smarter eLearning: We're making major improvements to the eLearning system. The competence cache is more intelligent, refreshing automatically after results are saved and offering an option for manual recalculation. This ensures your crew’s competence records are always up-to-date and accurate.
  • Rapid eLearning Enhancements: The platform now stores file sizes for Rapid eLearning modules, which helps with management and performance.
  • Improved User Awareness & Customisation: You'll have better control and transparency with new features like notifications for alpha releases. Plus, you can now customise the signature title on CES Test Certificates, giving you more flexibility for branding and official documentation.
  • Reporting: No more issues with reports! Performance appraisal and evaluation reports are available and print correctly, and all essential settings are there when you need them. This means you can count on accurate, consistent data every time.
  • eLearning & Assessments: The platform is more stable and dependable than ever. We've fixed issues like infinite loading, incorrect error messages, and session problems. You're also able to save assessments without encountering the 'Created By is required' error. These changes ensure a smoother, frustration-free experience for your crew.
  • User Management: We've addressed a security vulnerability that allowed unauthorised access, making your data more secure. We've also fixed the bug that prevented you from changing Marlins English test taker IDs, giving you full control over user profiles.

🎉Enhancements

[KEYCLOAK] EMAIL VALIDATION IMPLEMENTED BETWEEN PERSONNEL AND SPECIAL USERS

Description: A unique email validation is now in place for Personnel and Special Users when updating emails via the OLP interface.

These changes affect only the OLP/STA user interface.

  • The interface prevents saving an email if it’s already in use by regular or special users in:
    • Personal card Save action
    • Configuration/Security/Accounts
  • It also checks for:
    • Special user email conflicts
    • Regular user email conflicts

Note: If an existing email is used for a new special user, a warning message appears and creating a new account will not be allowed

CES TEST CERTIFICATE - NEW SETTING ADDED TO AMEND TITLE OF SIGNATURE

Description: In the configuration, a new setting has been added to allow you to change the title of the signature required for the CES Test Certificate. There is an upper limit of 50 characters.

For example, customers now have the option to change the word ‘assessor’ to any other signature segment, such as ‘Trainer’.

Users were previously unable to change or merge IDs for those with scheduled Marlins English tests or results.

ASSESSMENT PLATFORM - INABILITY TO SAVE ASSESSMENTS DUE TO ERROR

On the Assessment Platform, when creating an entry and clicking ‘Save as a draft’, an error appeared and the entry was not saved.

The error displayed was ‘Assessment cannot be saved’, and ‘Created By is required’.

AUTHORISATION FAILED (MODULE SESSION) - INFINITY LOADING ISSUE

When attempting to resume the module session multiple times, the authorisation failed, and an infinity loading issue appeared.

Additionally, users were incorrectly allowed to log in using the same credentials across multiple browsers or devices simultaneously.

The error displayed was '500 Internal Server Error'.

EVALUATION (PPRO) REPORT WAS NOT BEING PRINTED

During the performance appraisal, the report couldn't be printed from the right side of the evaluation. No errors were shown, and the logs recorded no information.
