🚀Overview

We are pleased to announce Compas Maintenance Version 38.4.0. This includes a series of enhancements and bug fixes aimed at improving efficacy and functionality.

Disclaimer:

• All the developments and fixes detailed in the release notes are implemented across all customer environments. However, depending on your company's settings and permissions, certain features may not be accessible or relevant.
• If new features and tables are introduced for onboard applications, they may be exclusive to the onboard cloud.

🎉Enhancements and New Features

[ENHANCEMENT] [COMPAS CLOUD (OFFICE)] [ABILITY TO STORE TAXABLE DAYS BASED ON REVISION AND APPROVAL FLOW OF TAXABLE DAYS]

• A new 'Approval' screen enables Compas Office users to validate tax exposure for each vessel.

• The ability to define the different kinds of additional insurance packages has been added.
• You can also view the additional insurance package at vessel level. This means you can configure the required applicability for that vessel and insurance package type.
• Reproduction steps: Compas Cloud (Office) | Admin | Admin Panel | (General) Library Configuration

Considerations:

• The scope is only for Compas Cloud (Office) module.
• This feature is permissions based.
  • Only those with permissions to add/view additional insurance package type at 'Library Configuration' should be able to view and access this tab (at Vessel Details level).
  • By default, the permission should be unchecked.

The ability to configure the additional insurance package on the 'Vessel Details' tab has been added.

Insurance Package Configuration

To add an entry:

1. In the pop-up window, select the Insurance Package type.
2. In the Nationality Applicability column, select the Nationality, and click Add ->.
3. Click Save.

You can edit the nationality applicability per insurance package type.

On one vessel, different ranks of the same nationality may be on various packages, allowing the nationality applicability list to be fully available for all configurations.

• Performance improvements have been made in the 'Planned Events' process.

• The 'Tax Jurisdiction' screen has been updated with the ability to define multiple rules per jurisdiction.
• This feature is beneficial for those that need to apply a different rule in middle of year.
  • When a new revision is added, the tax jurisdiction, tax rule, and threshold data clone from the latest revision 'Valid From' date.
  • Multiple characters of operation are allowed in tax rules. There is an ability to duplicate the rule as it is not impacting in the taxable day calculation.

• Reproduction steps: Vessel Details | Vessel settings.

• In 'Compas Onboard', when enabling the 'Tax allocation' tool (from the Vessel details - master switch), an initial balance matching the Matrix config for tax free days should be added in the db for all crew onboard for all jurisdictions.

• This is required to ensure calculations for the fiscal year are finalised (based on the current revision date) when allocation is complete.

• Whenever a full sync was in progress, a part of the query appended in the main query leading to a time out error.

• A new report has been developed to know the exact taxable days for any seafarers under the respective tax jurisdictions.

• The ability to call Compas API for crew vaccinations has been added. This allows you to insert the applicant vaccinations data into Compas (without the need for manual edits).

• The ability to Compas API for crew Licences (COC & COE) has been added.
• This allows you to insert the applicant Licence data into Compas (without the need for manual edits).

• The ability to call the Compas endpoint and extract crew qualification matrix requirements has been added. This allows you to consume the data in the recruitment portal and run qualification matrix check for applicants.

• The ability to call Compas API for crew external sea service has been added.

• This allows you to insert the applicant external sea service data into Compas.

🛠️Bug Fixes

[COMPAS ONBOARD] [INABILITY TO DELETE EXTRA CREW/PASSENGER]

• Issue:
  • When trying to delete extra crew (one after the other) the ‘Delete’ button did not work.
    • The page would have to be refreshed for the delete button to function.
• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:

  • When accessing the ‘Headcount Analysis - Crew Calculator’ the report was not correctly populated related to the ‘Owner’ filter.

• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:
  • For Compas Core users, users were incorrectly able to view the ‘Payroll’ tab and the ‘Contract’ tab.

• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:

  • When a crewmember changed to a ‘Resigned’ movement, this was not registered on the subsequent a-melding submission file.

• Issue:

  • The converted currency amount in the draft showed the incorrect amount in USD in the text box.

• Issue:

  • Previously, crew who were 60 years old and above were missing from the EPF text file.
