In this article, we'll demonstrate how to use the component lending functionality.
This function allows you to lend components to companies you have registered within your system.
Lending a Component/Sub Components
- Open a component and tick the “Activate component lending button”
- TM will ask you if you want to activate lending for the subcomponents. You can untick the sub-components that you don’t want to activate lending for, or just leave them ticked if you do. It will also show sub-components that are not possible to lend (e.g. that they are currently already lent out)
- Click OK and this will allow you to save the changes to the component/subcomponents.
- Once saved, go to the Lending History tab and click “Lend”
- You need to select a contact to lend the components too from the contact list:
- Click OK and you should see a new record in the Lending History Tab and you can view this by clicking and opening the record. The record shows the Borrower, From date and the Lender.
Returning A Component/Sub-Components
- To Return a component, click the Return button.
- This will set the component as returned and also add in a date to the To Date column for when the component was returned.

This view will show you all components and sub components and if they are lent and who too. It will also show the next due for jobs that may be attached to the component and the location of the component.
