V38.3.0 | Compas Maintenance | Release Notes

🚀Overview

We are pleased to announce Compas Maintenance Version 38.3.0. This includes a series of enhancements and bug fixes aimed at improving efficacy and functionality.

Disclaimer:

• All the developments and fixes detailed in the release notes are implemented across all customer environments. However, depending on your company's settings and permissions, certain features may not be accessible or relevant.
• If new features and tables are introduced for onboard applications, they may be exclusive to the onboard cloud.

🎉Enhancements and New Features

[ENHANCEMENT] [COMPAS CLOUD (OFFICE)] [BANK FILE | ANZ BANK IN PGK CURRENCY]

• The ability to generate a bank file for the ANZ bank for PGK currency has been added.

• Following a holiday, the night work between 00 – 04 should be considered as holiday work if the work has started prior to midnight.

Note:

• If Night Work is initiated before 0:00, the following deviations apply:
  • Work between 00:00 and 04:00 on the day following a Sunday or public holiday is also treated as Sunday or public holiday work.
• The above is currently applied for Sundays and Public Holidays defined in Compas as National or CBA Holidays.
• It is not applied for custom hardcoded holidays:
  • 125% for work on December 31 from 14:00 onwards
  • 150% for work on December 24 from 14:00 onwards, on December 25, December 26, and May 1.
• Custom hardcoded holidays need to be handled for work between 00:00 and 04:00 on the day following.

• A checkbox has been added to disable the warning check when accessing the ‘Home’ page.

Note: By default, the checkbox is unchecked.

• The redundant DB queries have been removed.

• This has been applied for Compas Cloud (Office), Compas Onboard, and CrewList.

• The allotment percentage has been updated to calculate the basic wage along with ‘Fixed Overtime’.
• This has been applied for Compas Cloud (Office), Compas Onboard, and CSS Web.
• The following breadcrumb trails have been updated:

🛠️Bug Fixes

[COMPAS CLOUD (OFFICE)] [E-APPRAISAL OVERDUE REPORT | APPRAISAL COUNTS APPEAR INCORRECTLY ON SECOND LAYER REPORT]

• Issue:

  • When clicking on the e-appraisals overdue report, the 2^nd layer report did not show the same amount of crew records as the 1^st layer report.

• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:
  • When trying to access selected certificates with an (‘) apostrophe in the title, an error appeared.
  • This issue occurred through the following breadcrumb trail, ‘Compas Office | Training | Qualifications | Status’. Click any option under the following column headings:
    • Holding (1)
    • Not holding
    • Required (2)
    • Complying (3)
    • Warning (4)
    • Not complying
• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:
  • On the tax report, the ‘Total Wages’ amount did not match the amount in the ‘Taxable wage details’ section.
• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:

  • Previously, crew were only included in the 2nd month* and not the pension report.

• Outcome:
  • These issues have been fixed.

*This means crew signing on the second of the two months.

• Issue:
  • On the payment draft, the ‘paid by field’ was not populated as expected.
    • The system registered the ‘Paid by’ information in the pay cycle endpoints, however, for certain drafts, the paid by was not registered.
• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[COMPAS ONBOARD] [CABIN ALLOCATIONS AND MUSTER LISTS | DUPLICATE RECORDS AND DISPLAY ISSUES]

• Issue:
  • The following issues appeared:
    • Duplicate cabin allocation records were created for the same vessel.
    • The duplicate cabin allocation records caused errors on the 'Muster List Assignment' page where the Muster List was defined as ‘role by cabin’.

    • An error appeared for any cabin allocation with a CID with the same start times and end times as a duplicate (regardless of the vessel).

• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:

  • On the ‘Financial Year’ filter dropdown menu, the option incorrectly showed a 2-year interval and not a 1-year interval (as expected).

• Outcome:
  • These issues have been fixed.

• Issue:
  • In the EPF calculation on the computation, the total wages was incorrectly calculated.
    • This issue appeared for both employee and employer.
• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:

  • A ‘Specified cast is not valid’ error appeared in the API.

• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:
  • After completing a full run for GDPR rules, some locations that included sensitive data were excluded and should have been anonymised.
  • The GDPR Rule items were to be taken from the following 3 locations:
    • Crew Profile | Documents | Archivix | Custom Documents | Claims - Personal | ‘Crew claim scanned documents’ (NEW)
    • Crew Profile | View Audit – Personal | ’Personal Details’ (EXISTING)
    • Crew Profile | Payroll | Bank Account | View Audit – Personal | ‘Bank Account’ (EXISTING)
• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[COMPAS CLOUD (OFFICE)] [SINGAPORE TAX REGIME | SDL INCORRECTLY COMPUTED]

• Issue:

  • For the Singapore tax regime (SDL* contributions), if crew had zero ‘0’ taxable earnings for the month, the system would add the minimum contribution of SGD2 on the crew payroll.

• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.

• Issue:

  • When clicking on the (printer) icon and payroll overview for the standard payslip, it showed all the vessel details.

• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.
