We are pleased to announce Compas Maintenance Version 36.9.3. This includes a series of enhancements and bug fixes aimed at improving efficacy and functionality.
Disclaimer:
- All the developments and fixes detailed in the release notes are implemented across all customer environments. However, depending on your company's settings and permissions, certain features may not be accessible or relevant.
- If new features and tables are introduced for onboard applications, they may be exclusive to the onboard cloud.
🎉Enhancements and New Features
[COMPAS CLOUD (OFFICE)] [AUTO APPROVAL RULES TO BE VISIBLE ONLY FOR RESPECTIVE CLIENT]

The ability to see the auto approval rules only created by you (the user) for the respective client in this section has been added.

Previously, the auto approval rules were only accessible to the support team.

The auto approval rules created by users from other client environments are not visible.
Reproduction steps:
- Log into COMPAS Cloud (Office).
- Click on the Admin dropdown menu.
- Click on the Admin panel menu item.
- Under the Crew.travel heading, click Auto Approval Rules.

[COMPAS CLOUD (OFFICE)] [LIMIT OF MAXIMUM 20 RECORDS REMOVED FROM ADMIN TAX JURISDICTION MATRIX RULES]

Previously, the tax jurisdiction rules and thresholds screen could only display 20 records. This limit has been removed.
Reproduction steps:
- Log into COMPAS Cloud (Office).
- Click on the Admin dropdown menu.
- Click on the Admin panel menu item.
- Under the Payroll heading, click Tax Jurisdiction Matrix.
- Click the Tax Jurisdiction Rules tab.
- Click the + Add new record icon. (Add 20 or more records as appropriate.)

- Various enhancements have been added for Batches.
Reproduction steps:
- Log into COMPAS Cloud (Office).
- Click on the Training dropdown menu.
- Click on the Cadets dropdown menu.
- Click on the Batches overview menu item.
- Click the
(Edit) icon (of any Cadet Batch).
- Change the To date.
- Click Update.
- Click Add record (of the Cadet Batch Cycles).
- Select the Description from the DDL, From date, and To date.
- Click the
(Export all) icon.
- Verify the following enhancements:
- The column name Cycle is replaced with Current Cycle.
- The Cadet Batch Cycle library and values are inserted in a sequence on the excel sheet.
- Each batch cycle has the start and end date.
- The defined value is available for that batch cycle inside the respective batch, otherwise, it will show blank.

- Performance improvements have been applied for slow running queries.

- Log into COMPAS Cloud (Office).

Enhancements have been applied for VslPlan.aspx using the checkCrewPlannedEventWarning functionality to accommodate any correlated query issues it creates.
🛠️Bug Fixes
[COMPAS CLOUD (OFFICE)] [FS5 REPORT NOT GENERATING]
- Issue:
- The FS5 report was not generating as expected. In particular, the bank account number section could not handle 36 characters being added.
- Outcome:
- This issue has been fixed.

- Issue:
- For any cadets who are less than 18 years old, the system shows NCs even if no conventions have been selected.

- Issue:
- Previous enhancements should allow a user to set the applicability for templates based on user vessel group, however, this does not work for users, only admin superuser.
- For example, when defined/pre-defined vessel type/user vessel group filters were applied, the system would still display all vessels and not filter the results as expected.
- Outcome:
- This issue has been fixed.

When trying to insert the vessel tax jurisdictions data and click Save, an error was appearing and the data was not saved successfully.

- Issue:
- The tax allowance, uniform allowance, and tax allowance on leave were generated twice for the months of October and November 2023.
- Outcome:
- This issue has been fixed.

- Issue:
- Despite being uploaded in providers configuration (company and employer), the zip code and city was missing from the address.

- The vacation dates balance was not clear (it did not show the amount of vacation days consumed).
- Outcome:
- This issue has been fixed.

The report is supposed to show the MO (Manning office) for all crew. However, there are cases where the MO column is blank (even though the crew member does have a manning office assigned).

The MO column is blank and should display the name of the MO.

- Issue:
- When attempting to assign a crew replacement to a vessel, there is a long loading time (up to a minute) when changing between tabs in the new window.
- This affects the following tabs:

- Possible Nominee
- Search Nominees
- Nomination Request
- Outcome:

- Issue:
- When trying to enable or disable the STCW 2010 Convention, an error appears.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[COMPAS ONBOARD] [WARNING MESSAGE MEANS ALLOCATIONS FOR OTHER VESSELS ARE CONSIDERED]
- Issue:
- On the Cabin Allocations page, if a crew member had a cabin allocation on another vessel and tried to add an overlapping cabin allocation on the current vessel, it prevented the user from creating an allocation on the second vessel. The following warning appeared, "The crew is already assigned to a cabin".
- The system should allow cabin allocation overlapping for different vessels of the same crew, regardless of a manual add or via hangfire.
- Outcome:
- This issue has been fixed.

- Issue:
- The following issues were present:
- If there were multiple cabin allocation records, the UI only rendered one record (or displayed them incorrectly).
- Sometimes, the creation of a new cabin allocation on the same cabin caused the new allocation to display incorrectly. Also, this conflicted with the dates of the allocation record.
- The scroller bar would get stuck in a loop once a certain limit of cabins was reached.

- In the Compas Cadet section, the permission configured for the user’s company/source code/owner pool filters did not prevent users from seeing crew they should be restricted from seeing.
