If the scheduled inspection requires one or more external (or even internal) approvals/acceptances, this can be added to the inspection during scheduling or any time after. You are not required to put in a “Required Approval”, you may add your approval/acceptance and the expiry for it after the inspection has been performed.
Here is how you add a “Required approval”
- This function can be accessed in two different ways.
- Click [HSSEQ] à [Inspection Types] à Double click the scheduled inspection in the lower section of the module.
- Click [HSSEQ] à [Inspection overview]à Locate the scheduled inspection in the “Schedule” section of the overview and double click it.
- Click the “Required Approvals” tab
- Click the [Add] button
- Select a company from the “Contact” (company) picker list, that you require an approval/acceptance of. The list of available approvers is a filtered list of your addresses defined in the [Contact] module. The criteria for an address to appear in this list, is that the tick box “Inspector” is ticked.
- Click [OK].
The Approval will after you add it appear with a red light/ball and the text “No Approval”.
Once the inspection has been performed and you receive and approval/acceptance for the inspection you will be able to set the expiry for the next approval. If the “inspecting company” is one of the companies added to this list the approval will automatically be updated. By default it will also set the “expiry” of the approval equal to the next inspection due date (if the inspection is on a schedule)
