Downloading and Installing e-Learning Modules

This article describes how to download an e-learning module and prepare the files for installation on the computer hosting Ocean Learning Platform.

 

To download and install on the training computer:

1. Go to your email to find the download link and password.
2. Click the link from the email and enter the password.
3. Do not use the Click Here to Download all files option, instead review the list of module and select the module you need to install.
4. Save the downloaded file. (Note: Do not unzip downloaded file otherwise the installation will fail). 
5. Copy all the “.ZIP” files to this folder 'C:\STA40_Scorm_Upload_(STA40_STA40)\New_Files or C:\Ocean_Scorm_Upload_(OCEAN_OCEAN)\New_Files. (Note: This is the default location. If the folder is not there, your application may be using another location. or you are not using the correct computer.)

Once the file is placed in the folder, the installation will take place. Depending on the number of files, the saved files in 'New_Files' will disappear after some time (approximately 5 to 20 minutes).

After being processed, the modules will be available in the Training Library.

Note: If you cannot download from a vessel, arrange for shore personnel to download and bring onboard the vessel.
