🚀What's New in Version 36.8.3?

We are pleased to announce Compas Maintenance Version 36.8.3. This includes a series of enhancements and bug fixes aimed at improving efficacy and functionality.

Disclaimer:

• All the developments and fixes detailed in the release notes are implemented across all customer environments. However, depending on your company's settings and permissions, certain features may not be accessible or relevant.
• If new features and tables are introduced for onboard applications, they may be exclusive to the onboard cloud.

🎉Enhancements and New Features

[COMPAS ONBOARD] [ABILITY TO FILTER CABIN AS PER OCCUPANCY STATUS]

• This ability to filter the cabin as per the occupancy status and select a date range has been added.
• Features:
  • Filter name: Occupancy status
  • Options in the DDL: All (default)/Occupied/Vacant
  • From date: Date picker
  • To date: Date picker
  • When Filtered by Occupancy date, a blue background appears in Cabin Allocation scheduler base on the filtered date.
  • A clear button is included.
    • If user clicks clear, system will remove the from date and to date.
    • Page will be loaded as per the default screen.
    • The DDL for occupancy status will change back to all.

[COMPAS CLOUD (OFFICE)] [ABILITY TO IMPORT TAX CALCULATIONS AND PRODUCE OVERVIEW]

• The ability to import the results of the tax calculations from multiple countries (calculated outside of Compas) into Compas and produce a tax overview statement for each crew member has been added.
• This feature can be produced annually and is available in CSS. 

Preconditions

• Change the companyShortName value = NV in websettings.config to see Malta Payroll option under the Payroll menu.
• Use the .xlsx template file in the attachments for import.

Reproduction steps:

1. Log into COMPAS Cloud (Office).
2. Click on the Payroll dropdown menu.
3. Click on the Malta payroll dropdown menu.
4. Click on Tax Overview.
5. In the Year dropdown menu, select an option.
6. Click Import Payroll.
7. In the Year dropdown menu, select the same year .xlsx file template.
8. Click Save.

The File imported successfully popup appears and you will see the Tax Overview Import page with the imported data.

Note: Apart from .xlsx, no other file format can be imported.

[COMPAS CLOUD (OFFICE)] [ADDITIONS MADE TO KM ALLOWANCE SCREEN]

• A new section in the Mileage Claims/Km Allowance configuration screen has been added.
• This feature is for the configuration of km rates based on CBAs (applicability by rank or group of ranks).
• Admin users will have the ability to amend these values based on the CBA negotiations.
• These features provide users with the flexibility to add and edit company applicability as required.

Reproduction steps:

1. Log into COMPAS Cloud (Office).
2. Click on the Admin dropdown menu.
3. Click on the Admin panel menu item.
4. Under the Payroll heading, click on the Kilometer Allowance menu item.
5. Click the (+) Add icon to add an entry.
6. Complete all required fields.
7. Click Save. The record is saved successfully and appears on the Kilometer Allowance page.
8. Click the expand icon.
9. Click Add kilometer allowance rates +.

[COMPAS ONBOARD] [CABIN RECORDS NOT LINKING WITH CABIN ALLOCATION WHEN CREATED]

• When created, the cabin records do not link with the cabin allocation.

Cabin allocation | Assign cabin

• Lifeboat field: This populates the lifeboat as defined under hotel management of the selected cabin.

• If a user changes the lifeboat on the cabin allocation assignment (which is different from the lifeboat as configured under vessel hotel plan), a warning appears. The warning states “This cabin has <Lifeboat XXX> defined under hotel plan which does not match”.
• If there is no lifeboat defined under the vessel hotel plan, when user selected a lifeboat when assign cabin, system will not show any warning

Preconditions:

Add new lifeboat if not added yet.

Cabin Configuration

Path: Compas Office | Admin | Vessel Hotel Plan

Add new cabin if Cabin is not added yet.

Note: The cabin can also be configured through Compas Onboard | Home | Hotel Plan.

Reproduction steps:

1. Log into COMPAS Onboard.
2. Click on the Home dropdown menu.
3. Click on the Cabin allocation menu item.

🛠️Bug Fixes

[COMPAS ONBOARD] [FILTER BY ONBOARD CREW IS NOT LOADING ONBOARD CREW ONLY AND PRODUCING COLOUR ERROR]

• Issue:
  • When users filter for Onboard, the system should load crew who are currently onboard and not include the crew who were onboard (but currently is not onboard) included in the result.
    • When users filter for Offsigner, if any offsigner is not currently on the vessel, the cabin allocation records for them should be displayed as grey.
    • When accessing Cabin Allocation, the system should display the crew colour as per the status.
      • For example, the onboard display as blue and on signers display as purple.
    • This means, if any crew were onboard the vessel, after they disembark and been planned as an on-signer for the same vessel of a future planned event, when user assigns a cabin for them, the colour should display as purple.
• Outcome:
  • This issue has been fixed.
  • The system shows crew who are currently onboard.
    • It does not include the crew who were onboard but are currently not onboard (in the result).
  • The crew that has already onboarded in the same vessel before and added cabin allocation as Onsigner correctly shows as Blue instead of Purple.
  • The crew cabin allocation that was planned as Offsigner and currently not onboard correctly shows as Blue instead of Grey.

Reproduction steps:

1. Log into COMPAS Onboard.
2. Click on the Home dropdown menu.
3. Click on the Cabin allocation menu item.
